What Beaufort does to a window
Beaufort sits on Taylor Creek with Back Sound and Shackleford Banks across the water, and the glass takes salt off the creek on every south wind. The historic district and Front Street take a damp haze every morning that leaves a gray film on the water side of the house, heaviest in a nor'easter or a fall storm when the spray carries blocks inland, and the boat traffic on the creek and at the docks keeps an exhaust film on anything facing the water. The historic district, Ann Street and the streets around the Old Burying Ground sit under live oaks that are centuries old, and from late February into April the pollen covers every pane, porch screen and sill in town, then Spanish moss and oak leaves drip tannin after every rain for the rest of the year. Beau Coast and the newer streets off Highway 70 are pine with lagoons behind most lots that keep the back glass damp, and the lots still being built keep construction dust on every slider. Out at Harkers Island and Gloucester the salt comes straight off Core Sound.

In most cases, yes. Mineral spots from sprinkler overspray need a dedicated treatment rather than regular cleaning. Tell us about them on the quote form and we will look at them on the first visit.
